Pay £11 to contact celebrities on Facebook

fbPopular social media network Facebook decided and started charging users belongs to UK almost £11, if they wants to send Facebook messages to celebrities and other popular Facebook users who are not in their friend-list.

They have launched a test for Olympic swimmer Tom Daley with this charging messaging system. As per Facebook official they are not sure if this would be implemented on social network across but they confirmed this testing.

As per Spokesman of Facebook, this testing is being done on few user base and Facebook is collecting feedback and based on that they may decide if they rolling out these changes across the country. Also this is just a testing and prices are also not set in stone.
 
As per Facebook the fee structure could be decided based on number of followers and a secret "fame" algorithm.

Currently lots of users in the UK are able to send messages to people out of their friend-list without any charges, but there are few involved in this testing can see charges while trying to send messages to strangers.

As per Facebook to avoid spamming for famous people and get them new folder who are contacting outside network and have a smooth communication, this approach may be required.

Let's see when this goes live and you won't be able to send message to celebrities if they are not in your friend-list.
